Go to the discovery of tradition! In the Onsernone Valley the so-called  Farina bóna , obtained by grinding the previously toasted corn grain very finely. This delicacy holds the prestigious slowfood brand for the protection of local and traditional products.

Ilario the miller will guide you through all the production steps, from roasting to grinding. Through his stories you will discover the secrets and the history of the Vergeletto Mills park, in the splendid setting of the Onsernone Valley.

Afterwards, there will be a tasty aperitif of products made from flour bòna, accompanied by local white wine and soft drinks. In conclusion, you cannot absolutely miss tasting the amazing homemade flour ice cream!

PATH

The park of the Mills winds upstream of the village of Vergeletto in the high Onsernone valley. Following the course of the river, the inhabitants of the valley built five mills and a series of canals dedicated to the production of Farina bóna.

Among farms with traditional stone roofs and ingenious devices to facilitate the life of the miller, the guided tour will take you back in time and its tradition. Inside the main mill, restored and fully functional as it was at the time, the scents of stone-ground toasted corn magically air.

In addition to the possibility of tasting freshly ground flour, at the end of the tour the miller will accompany you in the tasting of a tasty aperitif based on Farina bóna products. From biscuits ... to ice cream! All clearly accompanied by white wine from della Valle Onsernone and other soft drinks.
