Immerse yourself in the spectacular setting of the Verzasca or Maggia river!

 

Scuba diving is not doable just in the tropical sea. The experience is above all made of sensations and to dive into the crystal clear waters of the Verzasca river is an unforgettable and incredible experience. The colorful lights, the reflections on the rocks, and the encounter with some alpine trout make the diving at Verzasca's river an unforgettable memory.

 

The experience consists of 2 consecutive dives in the same natural pool. After the interval on the surface, it will be like diving into a new place due to changes in reflections and light effects.

 

The activity is organized according to the scrupulous PADI rules for recreational diving and conducted by a qualified instructor. For this, it is necessary to hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent and to certify that you are able to face the dive.

LOCATION

The following dive spots are available at the discretion of weather conditions, participants' experience and interest:

    

VERZASCA:

  • Pozza della Misura, Verzasca river.  

  • Pozza dei Salti, Verzasca river

MAGGIA :

  • Pozza Bocca del Lupo, Maggia river

  • Ponte Brolla / Tegna, Maggia river

Near the rivers, parking spaces are limited, so coordination with the participants will be organized to reach the chosen dive site, in order to facilitate the sharing of vehicles.

DURATION

The activity lasts a total of 4 hours starting at 9:30, followed by a refreshment offered during the surface interval.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Mattia has made diving his passion from an early age. From an early age he accompanied mum and dad on their local dives in the pools of the Verzasca and Maggia rivers. From the shore he followed the bubbles of air as they penetrated the sumptuous granite rocks and wondered what was so fascinating below. A few years later he wanted to discover it firsthand and therefore decided to advance into diving training and became PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. He has been conducting courses and guided dives for several years.

CONDITIONS OF

PARTICIPATION

This experience is organized according to PADI regulations for recreational diving.

 

For this reason it is necessary to be in possession of at least the PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent and to certify that you are in adequate conditions to face the dive.

WHAT TO BRING

For the experience please bring:

 

  • Bath material

  • Towel

  • Sun cream

  • Bonnet

  • You will be provided with the necessary diving equipment, however if you have personal equipment it is recommended to bring it
