BIKE'N'WINE – CYCLING IN MENDRISIOTTO TO DISCOVER WINE

WHAT IT'S ABOUT
We suggest you discover the region with the most vineyards in Ticino by pedalling: the Mendrisiotto!The starting point of the experience is in Balerna, after which you will be accompanied throughout the entire route by bicycle by a wine expert from the region.
Ready Set Go!
LThe first stage includes a visit to a traditional cellar of the region and is intended to be an opportunity to explore the theme of the winemaking process. Back on the bike, you will continue pedaling to explore the vineyards of Mendrisiotto, a region often referred to as "the Tuscany of Switzerland".
Our guide will organize a tasting of the excellent Merlot wine in the middle of a vineyard. In the shade of a charming pergola with a breathtaking view over the entire Mendrisiotto area, you will learn to recognize the aroma and flavors of a good glass of wine!
After the stop and back on the saddle, following the guide who will lead the participants through different vineyards, the starting point will be reached again, where the grand finale will be served: a tasting of local wines accompanied by a rich aperitif prepared with products from the region !
A one-of-a-kind experience suitable for both beginners and wine enthusiasts.

It is also possible to have a private tour with a date on request (at least 6 people - a surcharge of CHF200.- will be made for the whole group).

By reservation from April to October: For groups of 6 or more, it is possible to organize a dedicated date at least two weeks in advance (subject to availability and not coinciding with a date on the calendar).

Easily accessible by train. The Balerna railway station is only 300 meters away. Alternatively, you can arrive by car (parking available).
